As first reported by Unilad, a YouTuber with the username Airrack, whose real name is Eric Decker, flew all over the United States on a journey to nowhere. This adventure is aimed at trying out all the domestic airlines in the US. This includes carriers like Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Frontier Airlines. The influencer reportedly created a ranking system from A to F, with a particular letter “S” for particularly outstanding airlines. According to Unliad, he only gave Boutique Air and Lanai Air an S rating. The video was very successful, with 1,7M views since it was uploaded a week ago.

This mammoth journey made him cover an impressive number of air miles – 23,198 to be exact – Airrack noted that he is ‘carbon offsetting’ his entire experience number, reassuring his audience that he is making sure to minimize the impact of this travel on the environment.

A pleasant E175 hop from SEA to PDX results in some room for improvement for Delta Air Lines.

Airrack is not the only online content creator to have undergone a back-to-back flight challenge. Over the past few years, this has become a trend on YouTube. Another notable example of US content includes Jeb Brooks, who, in 2023, uploaded similar content, albeit on one airline. He set out to fly to every Delta Air Lines hub: New York JFK, Boston Logan, Detroit Waine, Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles, and, of course, Atlanta, to name a few. It also appears to be popular content, having amassed some 500,000+ views.

Can You Fly Around The World Using Only Narrowbody Flights?

Long-range narrowbodies are all the rage with airlines. Can we circle the globe with them?

Some other content creators took the concept further, like another YouTuber, Noel Phillips, who flew around the world last year using exclusively low-cost airlines. Some of the carriers include Jetstar, Scoot, and Southwest Airlines. Like both previous examples, this was also very popular, with around 1,2M views in total.

Note: An aeronautical around the world doesn’t include both hemispheres. Instead, it requires crossing the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans without backtracking.

Bottom Line.

With the entire world being open again after a long global pandemic, travel demand has risen exponentially. People want to explore their country and the world. For the USA, being a coastal country, traveling between the East and West coasts represents a long journey. Content creators can use that to sell travel to their community. Since borders have recently reopened, the same concept can also be applied to a grander scale, allowing viewers to travel with their favorite influencers to countries they plan or dream of visiting one day. However, in the context of global warming, it is essential for creators and travelers alike to be conscious of the impact they may have on the environment when creating these videos.
