Ambani-owned £57-million Stoke Park is Anant Radhika’s wedding destination in UK; Prince Harry, Boris Johnson prime guests

Despite an extravagant four-month wedding celebration from February to July, Anant Ambani and his wife, Radhika Merchant, are set to continue their festivities with a series of exclusive parties in the UK.

The couple is reportedly gearing up to welcome high-profile guests, including former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prince Harry, at Stoke Park, a luxurious seven-star hotel and country club located in Berkshire.

Mukesh Ambani owned- Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) bought Stoke Park for 57 million pounds ($79 million) in April 2021. The UK-based company, which owned this hotel and its golf course, added to RIL’s consumer and hospitality assets.

Stoke Park boasts a Grade I-listed Mansion House and a 27-hole championship golf course, adding a touch of elegance to the upcoming celebrations.

The venue offers a range of amenities, including a spa, gym, and hotel. Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, has ambitious plans for the property, aiming for a comprehensive restoration following its years of neglect.

However, lately, locals have raised concerns that the extensive renovations might primarily cater to the Ambani family’s personal use rather than benefiting the broader community. This was because the hotel had earlier decided to remain closed to the public while allowing access to the Ambani family, which has created tension between the affluent family and the local community and council.

However, Mukesh Ambani has reportedly found a solution by reserving the hotel for two months. As a result, approximately 850 golf club members have been instructed to refrain from visiting during this period.

The website for Stoke Park indicates that the estate “is suffering from neglect and lack of investment” and highlights the need for significant funding to repair structural issues, including a leaking roof and cracks in the walls, while modernising the Mansion to meet contemporary standards.
