Lufthansa has disclosed that its first flights with an Allegris cabin that includes first class suites will take off toward two Indian cities, Bangalore and Mumbai, in November.
Flying to Bangalore and Mumbai
On October 31, Lufthansa announced that its Airbus A350-900, equipped with Allegris first class suites, will depart on its first commercial flights on November 9 to Bangalore Kempegowda International Airport (BLR).
On November 15, the A350-900 will also fly to Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). Subsequently, the aircraft will alternate to operate the flights to the two Indian cities.

According to data from the aviation analytics company Cirium, Lufthansa has scheduled flights to the two Indian airports from its two German hubs, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Munich Airport (MUC).
However, flights from Frankfurt to Bangalore and Mumbai should be operated by the Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A340-300, respectively, while flights originating at Munich Airport (MUC) are scheduled to be flown by the A350-900.
From Munich, Lufthansa has 12 weekly departures to Bangalore and Mumbai, split between five and seven weekly flights on the routes, respectively.
The A350-900 that will operate flights to the two Indian cities will have two individual suites and the one-of-a-kind Suite Plus, which is a “separate double cabin with ceiling-high walls and an entirely closable door, large table and two wide seats that can be combined into a comfortable double bed if required.”

Taking delivery of a first class-equipped Allegris aircraft
Lufthansa took delivery of its first A350-900 with an Allegris first class suite on October 16. The aircraft, registered as D-AIXW, has since stayed on the ground at Munich Airport (MUC), Flightradar24 data showed.
This was the German airline’s 27th A350-900 and fourth delivery of this aircraft of the type in 2024, with the other three, D-AIXT, D-AIXU, and D-AIXV, having already entered service.

However, supply chain issues related to cabin interiors have forced Lufthansa to introduce the trio without the first class suites.
The first-ever Allegris-equipped A350-900, registered as D-AIXT, entered service without first class suites on May 1, flying from Munich to Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Airbus had delivered the aircraft on April 13.
When Simple Flying toured the aircraft in late April, the A350-900 had the German airline’s newest long-haul business, premium economy, and economy class cabin. The first class cabin, as alluded to in various details where the suites were supposed to be installed, was still loading.

Nevertheless, Lufthansa said that its most loyal passengers would be invited to try the first class suites before anyone else.
“As soon as more aircraft with the new First Class are part of the fleet, targeted upgrades by passengers and later targeted bookings will be possible step by step.”
The German airline concluded that the new suites would enable customers to heat or cool their seats, with the separate suites with ceiling-high walls and lockable doors, a large table, a huge screen, and wireless over-ear headphones will set new standards in comfort and individuality in the most premium class onboard an aircraft.
