Third-party logistics (3PL) provider Kenco has acquired the 3PL arm of Ontario-based Drexel Industries in a move that will add four physical locations and 100 employees to Tennessee-based Kenco’s growing Canadian footprint.

Drexel Industries’ four warehouses, all located in London, Ontario, are equidistant from Toronto, Detroit, and Buffalo, N.Y., operating as multi-client distribution spaces in a campus-like, resource-sharing environment. Kenco will also leverage Drexel Industries’ co-packing and co-filler expertise to further enhance its service offerings.

Family-owned Drexel Industries has helped both B2B and B2C brands distribute their goods internationally by offering services including warehousing, fulfillment, Amazon FBA prep, brokerage, and reverse logistics.

“Culturally and operationally, Kenco is a perfect fit with our 3PL business,” Jason Salmon, CEO at parent company Drexel Industries, said in a release. “Our teams share the same vision: to lift the complexities of logistics management off our customers, so they can focus on core competencies. Blending Kenco’s automation and technology resources with our Canadian market knowledge and warehouses’ proximity to key markets, we’ll empower businesses across North America to reach new levels of distribution efficiency.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
