IIM Jammu Concludes Leadership Development Program for Young Managers (Batch III) in Collaboration with SAIL – Indian PSU
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu successfully concluded the Leadership Development Program for Young Managers (Batch III), conducted for executives of Steel Authority of India Limited, at its Jagti Campus on April 17, 2026.
The five-day intensive program saw participation from 28 executives representing various SAIL plants across the country, underscoring the organization’s continued focus on leadership development and capacity building within the public sector.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director (HR–L&D), MTI SAIL. The event was attended by Chandra Nath Kumar, Senior Manager (HR–L&D), SAIL–MTI, Doranda, Ranchi (joining online); Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education & Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu; along with Program Directors Harsha Jariwala, Parvathy B, and Sakhti Nagraj.
During the valedictory session, participants shared positive feedback, describing the program as innovative, well-structured, and highly relevant to SAIL’s operational ecosystem. They highlighted how the sessions effectively bridged theoretical frameworks with practical applications, progressing seamlessly from foundational concepts to real-world business challenges.
Participants particularly appreciated the use of contextual case studies and the project-based learning approach, which fostered collaboration, problem-solving, and hands-on application of knowledge. The quality of instruction, depth of content, and strong faculty engagement were also widely commended.
In addition, attendees noted gaining valuable insights into effective presentation and communication techniques. Many expressed interest in participating in future programs to further enhance their leadership capabilities.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Parvathy B, who acknowledged the contributions of all dignitaries, participants, and organizers.
With the successful completion of this batch, IIM Jammu continues to reinforce its role as a key enabler in bridging academia and industry—developing future-ready leaders who drive innovation, improve organizational performance, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
