Arun Kanti Bagchi Given Additional Charge as Director (Personnel) at RINL – Indian PSU

The Government of India has assigned the additional charge of Director (Personnel) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) to Arun Kanti Bagchi, who is currently serving as Director (Projects) in the company.

According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Steel’s Board Level Appointment Cell, the appointment has been made with the approval of the competent authority. Bagchi will assume the additional responsibility for a period of three months, effective from May 17, 2026, to August 16, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

This interim arrangement ensures continuity in leadership within RINL, particularly in the critical personnel function, which plays a key role in workforce management, industrial relations, and organizational development at the public sector steel major.

RINL, which operates the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, is one of India’s prominent public sector enterprises under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel. The additional charge to Bagchi is expected to support ongoing HR initiatives and maintain operational stability during the transition period.
