Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. (SPIC) has reported a strong financial performance for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2026, with a significant rise in profitability despite lower revenues during the quarter.
Q4FY26 Performance
The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹29.49 crore in Q4FY26, marking a 51.5% year-on-year growth compared to ₹19.47 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The increase in profit was driven by improved operational efficiencies and contribution from equity-accounted investees.
Consolidated profit before tax (PBT) rose 53.7% YoY to ₹45.98 crore, up from ₹29.91 crore a year earlier.
However, revenue from operations declined to ₹584.15 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹754.37 crore in Q4FY25. Total income stood at ₹595.73 crore. Profit from operations (before share of profit from associates and tax) came in at ₹41.82 crore.

On a standalone basis, SPIC reported:
- Net profit: ₹26.15 crore (up from ₹13.09 crore YoY)
- PBT: ₹41.82 crore (vs ₹20.64 crore YoY)
- Revenue: ₹584.15 crore (vs ₹754.37 crore YoY)
FY26 Full-Year Performance
For the full financial year FY26, SPIC delivered robust growth:
- Consolidated net profit: ₹211.48 crore (up 35.9% YoY)
- Revenue from operations: ₹2,955.97 crore
On a standalone basis:
- Net profit: ₹186.16 crore (vs ₹130.84 crore in FY25)
- Revenue: ₹2,955.97 crore
Operational Highlights
Operationally, the company reported:
- Urea plant operation: 73 days in Q4FY26 (vs 90 days YoY)
- Urea production: 1.48 lakh metric tonnes
- Urea sales: 1.43 lakh metric tonnes
For the full year:
- Production: 7.21 lakh MT
- Sales: 7.14 lakh MT
The company recognized subsidy income of ₹450.33 crore for the quarter and ₹2,426.91 crore for FY26, based on provisional retention pricing under the Government of India’s fertilizer policy.
Dividend Announcement
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of ₹2 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
