Morocco is moving forward with an ambitious strategy to modernize its logistics infrastructure and strengthen its position as a major trade gateway between Europe, Africa and the Atlantic region.

Through digitalization, port expansion and new maritime connections, the country is seeking to make trade flows faster, more secure and more efficient. At the heart of this transformation is a coordinated effort to reorganize Morocco’s logistics corridors.

Authorities are focusing on simplifying foreign trade procedures through digital platforms, increasing the capacity of key ports and developing new shipping routes that can support growing trade volumes.

One of the main pillars of this strategy is PortNet, the national digital platform that has helped streamline administrative procedures related to foreign trade. By reducing paperwork and improving coordination between public institutions and private operators, the system has contributed to faster and more transparent trade operations.

Morocco is also continuing to invest heavily in its port infrastructure. The success of Tanger Med has reinforced the country’s role as a leading logistics hub in the Mediterranean. The port has become a strategic gateway for international trade, connecting Morocco to major global markets while supporting the country’s export industries.

At the same time, the development of the Dakhla Atlantique port project reflects Morocco’s growing focus on the Atlantic coast. The future port is expected to strengthen trade links with African countries and support economic activity in the North African country’s southern regions.

It forms part of a broader vision aimed at creating new opportunities for regional integration and international commerce. Future Atlantic maritime connections are also expected to play a key role in this strategy.

By expanding transport routes toward African and European markets, Morocco aims to diversify trade channels and improve the resilience of its supply chains. These connections are expected to facilitate the movement of goods while opening new opportunities for exporters.

The various projects are now being integrated into a single national vision focused on improving logistics performance and boosting Morocco’s competitiveness.

The objective is not only to facilitate trade but also to create a stronger environment for investment and industrial development.

With its unique geographical position at the crossroads of the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea and African markets, Morocco is working to transform geography into a long-term economic advantage.

By combining digital innovation, modern infrastructure and expanded maritime connectivity, Morocco is seeking to strengthen its role as a regional trade and logistics platform for the years ahead.
