NTPC Barh welcomed the third batch of interns under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS), a flagship initiative of the Government of India designed to provide young people with industry exposure, hands-on experience, and skill development opportunities.

An induction programme was organized on June 9, 2026, to formally onboard the interns. Addressing the participants, C. Satya Rama Krishna, Executive Director, NTPC Barh, encouraged them to make the most of the internship by gaining practical knowledge, enhancing their skills, and preparing themselves for future professional challenges.

A total of 48 interns joined NTPC Barh under the scheme, comprising 38 male and 10 female participants. To mark their induction, the interns were presented with welcome kits containing a bag, water bottle, diary, and pen.

The Prime Minister Internship Scheme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by offering structured exposure to real-world work environments. Through participation in such initiatives, NTPC continues to contribute to youth empowerment and skill development, supporting the Government of India’s vision of creating a future-ready workforce.
