Studying the details of international trade compliance probably sounds like a pretty boring way to spend an afternoon. However, that’s something that companies that manage global supply chains have to master.
Now the business law firm Foley & Lardner LLP has found a way to spice up the material. The Milwaukee-based firm has launched a comic book-style series titled “Tariff-ied! International trade compliance, four panels at a time.”
The series takes a lighthearted approach to what most would consider some pretty heavy topics. For example, the episode from May 4 featured a Star Wars theme, declaring “May the Fourth of Compliance be with you!” The essay delved into the nitty-gritty of recent changes in handling Section 232 tariffs for derivative products containing steel, aluminum, or copper. (See? I told you it was dry material).
