CONCOR and RITES Sign MoU to Accelerate Modern Logistics Infrastructure Development in India – Indian PSU

In a major boost to India’s logistics sector, Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) and RITES Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop modern, efficient and future-ready logistics infrastructure across the country.

The strategic partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both leading public sector enterprises by combining CONCOR’s extensive logistics operations expertise with RITES’ engineering, project management and consultancy capabilities. The collaboration is expected to accelerate the planning, design and execution of world-class logistics projects through advanced Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of creating an integrated, technology-driven and sustainable logistics ecosystem that supports economic growth, reduces logistics costs and enhances the ease of doing business.

Driving Next-Generation Logistics Infrastructure

Under the MoU, CONCOR and RITES will work together on the development of a wide range of logistics infrastructure projects, including Logistics Parks, Multimodal Cargo Terminals, Inland Container Depots (ICDs), Container Freight Stations (CFS), warehousing facilities and other strategic logistics assets.

RITES will provide comprehensive Project Management Consultancy (PMC), engineering design and technical advisory services, while CONCOR will contribute its nationwide logistics network, operational excellence and deep domain expertise in container transportation and multimodal logistics.

The collaboration is expected to ensure efficient project execution while adopting global best practices in logistics infrastructure development.

The partnership is expected to play an important role in strengthening India’s freight transportation system by improving connectivity, enhancing cargo handling efficiency and supporting seamless multimodal transportation.
