PESB Recommends Rekha Pandey for Director (Personnel) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited – Indian PSU
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Smt. Rekha Pandey, General Manager (HR/CSR), Coal India Limited, for appointment as Director (Personnel), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a Schedule ‘B’ Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal. The recommendation was made during the PESB Selection Meeting No. 60/2026 held on July 14, 2026.
Rekha Pandey emerged successful after a competitive selection process in which senior executives from Coal India Limited, its subsidiaries, and other Central Public Sector Enterprises participated.

As Director (Personnel), Rekha Pandey will be responsible for overseeing the human resource management, industrial relations, employee welfare, organizational development, and personnel policies of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, one of Coal India Limited’s largest coal-producing subsidiaries.
Her appointment will become effective after receiving the necessary approvals from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
