CCL Organises Training Programme for HR Officers on Role of Artificial Intelligence in HR – Indian PSU

The Human Resource Development (HRD) Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organised a one-day training programme for HR officers on the theme, “Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Human Resources.” Around 50 HR officers from various CCL areas and the headquarters participated in the programme.

The programme was inaugurated by Director (Technical/Operations) C.S. Tiwari. Faculty member Deshbandhu Mishra and General Manager (HRD) M.F. Haque were also present.

In his welcome address, General Manager (HRD) M.F. Haque said that artificial intelligence has emerged as a vital and integral tool in today’s work environment. He emphasised the importance of understanding AI and preparing for its effective adoption to meet evolving organisational needs.

In his inaugural address, Director (Technical/Operations) C.S. Tiwari highlighted the increasing role of AI in human resource management, noting that the technology can significantly improve efficiency, speed, and effectiveness in HR functions. He also stressed the need to carefully consider ethical aspects, potential challenges, and other grey areas associated with AI to ensure its responsible and balanced use.

During the training programme, experts discussed various dimensions of artificial intelligence, its practical applications in human resource management, and future prospects. Participants actively engaged in the sessions, sharing their views and raising queries on different aspects of AI in HR.
