The semi-private air carrier Aero Airlines has announced a new opportunity for festival-goers on the West Coast of the United States. On Wednesday, April 10, Aero Airlines announced it had begun offering direct scheduled services for travelers attempting to visit Coachella Valley for the legendary festival. This flight will launch from Van Nuys Airport (VNY) near Los Angeles, California, where Aero Airlines has a private terminal. The scheduled semi-private service will arrive at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM), which is an approximate ten-minute drive to Coachella Valley, where the festival is held.
New semi-private service
The new scheduled flights for Aero Airlines have been designed to pair with other VIP and luxury experiences at the festival. The new service has been launched in conjunction with a partnership with a leading event-based hospitality company, RPProjects. The company provides luxury lifestyle experiences for events across the United States. In addition to the new scheduled service, RPPProjects, and Aero have partnered to offer exclusive VIP festival packages.

These exclusive flights begin at only $975 per person. The current Chief Executive Officer of Aero Airlines, Ben Klein, spoke about the new offering, stating,
“We’re thrilled to launch Aero flights to some of the world’s largest music, sporting, art, and entertainment events in 2024. Flying Aero means getting to the airport 20 minutes before your flight and avoiding all the hassles associated with traveling commercially, including long lines, crowds, and baggage claim.”
This hints that Aero Airlines may be a proponent of setting up future services to top-notch festival destinations and other large events around North America.

Semi-private scheduled flights
Aero Airlines is known as a semi-private airline. It offers luxury seating options and experiences aboard scheduled flights, which is a unique offering for travelers. Each flight has an attentive host onboard as well as dedicated concierge services for the passengers prior to boarding or after landing. Additionally, passengers are able to board their Aero Airlines’ aircraft from private terminals or fixed base operators (FBO), which means that the passenger does not have to wait in line through Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security lines. The passenger can simply pull up to their terminal and board their aircraft.
Aero Airlines operates two different types of aircraft on its flights. One of these aircraft is a custom Embraer ERJ135. This aircraft seats 16 passengers, with one passenger on either side of the aircraft. The other Aero Airlines aircraft is a Bombardier Legacy 600. This aircraft seats up to ten passengers in addition to the two pilots. It is fitted with a four-person adjustable table.

While onboard, passengers are served a selection of complimentary beverages, snacks, and even an open bar. The seats are spaced out more than in a typical commercial aircraft for additional legroom and are made from hand-stitched Italian leather. The seating area is also home to soothing lighting and a state-of-the-art lighting system. Passengers are also free to use complimentary WiFi provided by Starlink.
