Ahmedabad Customs Brokers’ Association and The Thar Dry Port to Organise Blood Donation Camp at ICD Sanand today

AHMEDABAD: In a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting community welfare and saving lives, the Ahmedabad Customs Brokers’ Association (ACBA) is organising a Blood Donation Camp in association with The Thar Dry Port, a unit of Hasti Petro Chemical & Shipping Limited, at its ICD facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad.

The blood donation drive is scheduled to be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Thar Dry Port, Sanand. The initiative is being conducted in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Ahmedabad District Branch, which will support the blood collection programme.

Industry comes together for a life-saving cause

The initiative highlights the growing importance of social responsibility within Gujarat’s customs, logistics and maritime trade community. By bringing together customs brokers and the dry port ecosystem for a blood donation drive, ACBA and The Thar Dry Port are extending their contribution beyond their professional roles to a cause that can directly benefit patients and families in need.

Blood donation remains one of the simplest yet most impactful forms of community service. Every unit of donated blood can play a critical role in supporting patients requiring transfusions during medical emergencies, surgeries, accidents and other serious medical conditions.

The campaign carries a powerful message: “Donate Blood, Save Lives.” The organisers have also highlighted the wider impact of blood donation with the message “One Donation Can Save Three Lives.”

The Ahmedabad Customs Brokers’ Association, through this initiative, is encouraging members of the trade community to step forward and become part of the life-saving campaign, while The Thar Dry Port is providing the venue for the programme at its Sanand facility
