GRSE Conferred the Nation’s Highest Honour for Outstanding Implementation of Rajbhasha – “Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar” – Indian PSU
Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has been conferred the “Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar” in the category of Public Sector Undertakings for the year 2025–26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in recognition of its outstanding implementation of Official Language Hindi.
The award was received by Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, GRSE, from Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, during the Hindi Diwas celebrations and the Sixth All India Official Language Conference held at Navi Mumbai on 14 September 2026.
The event was attended by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Sunetra Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Nityanand Rai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs; Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Minister of State for Home Affairs; Naresh Ganpat Mhaskey, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Thane/Navi Mumbai; Anshuli Arya, IAS, Secretary, Department of Official Language; Capt (IN) P Sunilkumar (Retd.), Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel), GRSE; Manish Kumar Singh, Senior Manager (Official Language), GRSE; along with scholars of Hindi and dignitaries from across the country.
This prestigious recognition reflects GRSE’s sustained commitment to the promotion, effective use and wider dissemination of Hindi. As a Navratna CPSU, GRSE remains dedicated to advancing the cause of Official Language Hindi while contributing to nation-building.
