TCIL Pays ₹43.86 Crore Dividend to Government for FY26 – Indian PSU

Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has paid a dividend of ₹43.86 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26.

TCIL Chairman and Managing Director Syed Tausif Abbas presented the dividend cheque to Union Minister for Communications and DoNER Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on October 1, 2026, in the presence of Department of Telecommunications Secretary Amit Agrawal.

The government-owned telecommunications consultancy and project execution company recorded operating revenue of ₹3,335 crore and profit after tax of ₹146 crore in FY 2025-26.

Revenue More Than Doubles in Five Years

TCIL’s revenue has grown by 115% over the last five years, increasing from ₹1,596 crore in FY 2021-22 to ₹3,442 crore in FY 2025-26, according to the Ministry of Communications. The figures released for FY 2025-26 cite operating revenue of ₹3,335 crore.

A profit-making Miniratna public sector undertaking, TCIL has paid cumulative dividends of ₹4,146 crore to the Government of India. This includes a special dividend of ₹3,728 crore paid in FY 2024-25.

Operations Across More Than 70 Countries

Established in August 1978, TCIL operates under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications, with the Government of India holding 100% equity in the company.

The company executes projects in telecommunications and information technology in India and overseas. It has completed projects in more than 70 countries, with current overseas operations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal.

TCIL is also implementing the Pan Africa e-Vidya Bharti and Arogya Bharti Network project, which operates across more than 15 African countries.

Major Government Projects Under Execution

TCIL is executing several high-value government projects across telecommunications, defence and digital infrastructure.

These include the Defence Network for Spectrum (NFS) project, Navy Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) projects, USOF-funded APSFL and Telangana Fibre projects, BBNL VSAT, BharatNet Phase III in the Northeast, the BSNL Super Edge Router project and the State Wide Area Network in Bihar.

The company is also undertaking data centre projects for the Indian Coast Guard and the state of Chhattisgarh.

TCIL’s latest dividend payment adds to the cumulative returns it has delivered to the government while continuing to execute domestic and international telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects.
