Air Transat has unveiled its Summer 2025 flight program, which includes the addition of a new route to Spain – bringing the company’s total destinations in the country to four, more than any other Canadian airline. In addition, the carrier is increasing flights to Orlando, citing “growing popularity” and is boosting other services linking Canada with the Netherlands, Switzerland, Peru, England, France, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Cuba.
It will offer over 275 weekly non-stop flights to over 40 destinations from its three key Canadian bases: Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City.

Florida flight increases
This summer, Air Transat operated from both Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Quebec (YQB) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), as well as from YUL to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The carrier plans to boost flights on the latter route, moving from up to 10 weekly frequencies (this year) to 14 as of summer 2025.
“In addition, two flight frequencies will be added on certain days to provide travellers with greater flexibility.”

It is unclear when the additional two frequencies will be introduced and whether this will continue throughout the summer. Either way, the added ORL growth is a testament to what the airline describes as Orlando’s “growing popularity” and serves to reinforce its commitment to “its two flagship destinations in Florida.”
Montreal to Valencia
Air Transat will also reinforce service to Spain. The new route to Valencia (VLC) will become the carrier’s fourth destination in the country after Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga. The airline describes the new route as “exclusive” notably given that no other company offers service from the Spanish city to Canada, let alone anywhere else in North America.
This route will be the only long-haul flight Valencia will offer next summer if all stays as is. It will also join a very short list of intercontinental destinations for the airport, all of the others being Ryanair or Royal Air Maroc services to Morocco. This year, Air Algérie and Air Cairo each operated a handful of flights to Algeria and Egypt respectively, according to Cirium data.

The Air Transat service will be fueled by connecting passengers on flights operated by both Air Transat and Porter Airlines, arriving in Montreal. The roughly 7-hour service will operate once a week and will to be offered with the carrier’s Airbus A321LR fleet. The inaugural flight will be on June 20. Sebastian Ponce, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer said:
“The addition of Valencia to our summer program, an exclusive non-stop route from the Americas, demonstrates our expertise in offering unique and diversified travel options. This destination completes the enhancement of our transatlantic, South and Florida network, as well as the optimization of our connectivity with Porter Airlines, to meet our clients’ expectations.”
