Biomass Business Partners’ Meet Organized at APCPL Jhajjar to Strengthen Clean Energy Push – Indian PSU
Aravali Power Company Private Limited successfully organized a Biomass Business Partners’ Meet at its Jhajjar plant on April 1, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to achieving biomass co-firing targets under the National Biomass Mission.
The event served as a strategic platform to engage with biomass vendors, facilitate the smooth execution of newly awarded contracts, and gather actionable feedback to strengthen the biomass supply chain ecosystem.
The meet was graced by Chief Guest Dilip Kaibortta, CEO (APCPL), along with senior leadership including Joyotosh Kumar Dey, GM (O&M); Mohd. Nizamuddin, GM (O&FM); Atul Agarwal, AGM (Maintenance); Umesh Kumar, AGM (HR); and Harikumar, AGM (C&M), along with other Heads of Departments—highlighting APCPL’s strong institutional commitment toward sustainability and stakeholder collaboration.
Leadership in Biomass Co-firing
The program commenced with a welcome address by Jasmer Singh, AGM (Fuel Management), who emphasized APCPL’s strategic focus on biomass co-firing and its alignment with India’s clean energy transition goals.
He proudly highlighted that APCPL secured the No. 1 position in India in biomass co-firing during FY 2025–26, underscoring its leadership in adopting sustainable fuel alternatives in thermal power generation.
Focus on Execution, Quality and Safety
A detailed presentation by the APCPL team covered key operational and contractual aspects, including:
- Safety protocols and compliance requirements
- Readiness for biomass supply commencement
- Biomass handling mechanisms at the plant
- Critical contract clauses highlighted by the C&M department
- Quality parameters and concerns discussed by the Chemistry team
These sessions enabled meaningful dialogue and clarity among vendors, ensuring better alignment for future operations.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships
The event witnessed participation from 28 biomass vendors, reflecting strong industry engagement. It concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a networking lunch, fostering deeper collaboration between APCPL and its partners.
The initiative marks another significant step in strengthening the biomass supply ecosystem while advancing India’s broader clean energy and decarbonisation agenda.
