Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market has opened in London Heathrow Airport (LHR) Terminal 5, introducing a refreshed market style dining concept designed for today’s travellers. The relaunch brings together a curated selection of brands from Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, offering passengers a flexible and premium airport dining experience in one destination.

Heathrow, based in London at the heart of international travel, is Europe’s largest airport and the UK’s global gateway. Terminal 5 alone welcomes more than thirty million passengers each year, making it a fitting location for the evolution of the long established Plane Food concept.

Since first opening in 2008, Plane Food has helped redefine airport dining, shifting expectations from convenience only to quality and experience. The new Plane Food Market builds on that legacy by combining global cuisines, fast and flexible service, and a relaxed atmosphere tailored to a wide range of passengers.

The redesigned space has been created to suit everyone, from solo travellers and business passengers to families on the move. Guests can choose to grab food on the go, sit down for a more leisurely meal, or enjoy a drink at the bar. The venue features a lively cocktail bar, a dedicated grab and go counter, and comfortable seating for those with time to unwind before departure.

At the heart of Plane Food Market is a selection of Quick Service Restaurant brands from Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global’s international portfolio. The Lucky Cat counter serves Asian inspired dishes including Nigiri, Spicy Tuna Roll, Bonito Fried Duck Leg Bao and the signature GFC. Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips offers classic British favourites such as golden cod and chips or the Shrimp Combo, accompanied by signature sauces including curry and mango or sriracha aioli.

Street Burger brings its popular smash burgers to Terminal 5, including the Classic Smash and Chilli Cheese Smash. Street Pizza offers crowd favourites such as the Beef Short Rib Idiot Pizza and the Vegan ’Nduja. For those looking for bold flavours, Hotter Than Hell Wings allows guests to choose their preferred heat level, with sauces ranging from Umami and Sweet Chilli Kimchi to the fiery Street Hot Sauce.

Alongside these newer concepts, Plane Food Market continues to serve much loved Plane Food classics throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options remain available all day, including the Full English Breakfast, Butter Chicken Curry and the well known Idiot Sandwich.

Chef and Restaurateur Gordon Ramsay said: “Since 2008, Plane Food has been a key part of the Heathrow T5 story. Today we are building on that success, evolving the concept, and celebrating how far we’ve come. Plane Food Market delivers an enticing selection of food that’s truly delicious, making airport dining relaxed and sociable, a really enjoyable addition to your travels. Plane Food Market takes what people love about our restaurants from around the world, amazing food that is fresh and full of flavour, and delivers it to time poor passengers who don’t want to compromise on quality at the airport.”

Heathrow Retail Director Fraser Brown added: “The launch of Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market represents a significant step in enhancing the airport dining experience at Heathrow. It is great to continue working with Gordon Ramsay, an iconic British chef and a respected brand within food, and to introduce this exciting new concept which is tailored to suit every passenger’s journey. We are delighted to see such a globally recognised brand expand its offering, building on the popularity and success it has enjoyed since first opening in Terminal 5 over 17 years ago.”

Plane Food Market is inspired by global connection and reflects Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global’s international presence. Street Pizza operates in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Dubai, while Street Burger continues to expand in South Korea, Washington DC and the Philippines. Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips has locations in Reno, Orlando, Washington DC and Las Vegas. Together, these destinations highlight the brand’s commitment to bold flavours, warm hospitality and memorable dining experiences worldwide.

Heathrow Terminal 5 plays a central role in the airport’s operations and is recognised as one of the most accessible airport terminals globally. Located just 15 minutes from Paddington Station via the Heathrow Express, it offers passengers a seamless connection to London and beyond.

In 2024, Heathrow welcomed a record 83.9 million passengers and is forecast to reach approximately 84.2 million in 2025. With renewed energy, expanded culinary choice and a continued focus on quality, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market is set to once again elevate airport dining, offering travellers an experience that is dynamic, accessible and distinctly premium.
