Quarterly Vigilance Awareness Campaign in BCCL – 2025 Concludes Successfully – Indian PSU

The Quarterly Vigilance Awareness Campaign – 2025 at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) concluded with a grand ceremony at the BCCL Headquarters, Coal Bhawan. The event was presided over by CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, and the campaign — conducted from 18 August to 17 November 2025 under the Central Vigilance Commission’s theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” — culminated with the Vigilance Award Ceremony.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of Director (Technical – Projects & Planning) Mr. Niladri Roy, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Mr. Aman Raj, General Manager (Vigilance) Mr. Satyendra Kumar, General Manager (Administration) Mr. Arpan Ghosh, along with other GMs, department heads, regional general managers, officers, employees, and campaign participants.

In his presidential address, CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal praised all BCCL departments and regions for their enthusiasm, discipline, and dedication in executing the campaign’s activities. He stressed that vigilance messages are effective only when they are integrated into everyday work practices. He emphasized that in a large organization like BCCL, vigilance, production, quality, and safety are paramount responsibilities shared equally at all levels. He urged officers and employees to uphold transparency and integrity consistently.

Director (Technical – Projects & Planning) Mr. Niladri Roy highlighted the importance of fostering an ethical work culture for institutional strength and sustainable development. He emphasized that within BCCL’s vast mining operations, transparency and vigilance demand even stronger and more focused efforts.

Sharing his remarks, CVO Mr. Aman Raj stated that vigilance extends beyond corruption prevention and includes moral responsibility, self-restraint, and discipline. He noted that every decision and action reflects collective accountability, and true good governance is achieved only when vigilance becomes a part of the organization’s daily conduct.

The program began with a formal welcome, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the portrait of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the singing of the Coal India song. An inspiring documentary showcased awareness rallies, pledges, workshops, competitions, digital initiatives, and public outreach activities conducted across BCCL regions during the campaign.

In his welcome address, CVO Mr. Aman Raj elaborated on the objectives of the campaign, reinforcing that vigilance is a value that should be deeply rooted in the conduct of every responsible officer and employee. He reiterated that ethics, transparency, and accountability must remain core elements of the organization’s work culture.

Awards & Recognitions

Participants and departments that excelled in various competitions and activities during the quarterly vigilance campaign were honored.

Under the Special Efforts Category, the following were recognized:

  • Mr. Arpan Ghosh, General Manager (Administration)
  • Ms. Nilanjana Chakraborty, Department Head (Public Relations)
  • Mr. Digambar, Administration Department
  • Additionally, vigilance certificates were awarded to officers of the BCCL Vigilance Department.

In the closing session, CVO Mr. Aman Raj presented replicas of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and mementos to CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal and Director (Technical – Projects & Planning) Mr. Niladri Roy as a token of appreciation. CMD Mr. Agarwal also felicitated CVO Mr. Aman Raj for his commendable contributions.

The vote of thanks was proposed by General Manager (Vigilance) Shri Satyendra Kumar, and the program was skillfully conducted by Senior Manager (Vigilance) Shri Shadab Ahmed.
