Tamilnadu Petroproducts Q2 PAT Soars to ₹32 Crore; Revenue Remains Stable – Indian PSU
Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) has reported a stellar rise in its standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) to ₹32.07 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, marking a sharp increase from ₹2.83 crore recorded in the same quarter last year.

For the first half of FY26, the company’s PAT surged nearly fourfold to ₹65.29 crore, compared to ₹16.20 crore in the corresponding period of FY25.
Revenue for Q2 FY26 stood steady at ₹468.26 crore, slightly higher than ₹455.66 crore in Q2 FY25, maintaining consistency with the previous quarter’s ₹468.27 crore. For H1 FY26, TPL posted revenue of ₹936.53 crore, up marginally from ₹923.07 crore in H1 FY25.
The exceptional bottom-line performance was driven by strong operational gains. EBITDA for H1 FY26 more than doubled to ₹104.57 crore from ₹37.89 crore in H1 FY25, underscoring improved cost management and plant efficiency.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items for the first half also rose sharply to ₹88.64 crore, compared to ₹15.37 crore in H1 FY25.
The company incurred an exceptional expense of ₹0.32 crore during the quarter, related to material damage and plant restoration activities following Cyclone Michaung.
Commenting on the results, Mr. Ashwin Muthiah, Vice Chairman of TPL and Founder Chairman of AM International, Singapore, said: “The healthy quarterly performance of our company demonstrates disciplined execution and our ability to maintain stable revenue. The significant increase in profitability is due to a continued focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency.”
