RailTel Bags Rs 20.04 Crore Q-Shakti IT Infrastructure Contract from Munitions India – Indian PSU

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured an order worth approximately Rs 20 crore from Munitions India Limited for IT infrastructure-related work, strengthening its presence in the defence and government technology segment.

The order adds to RailTel’s portfolio of projects involving digital infrastructure and technology solutions for public sector organisations. The company, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, provides telecommunications, networking, data centre and IT services to government departments and enterprises.

Munitions India Limited, a defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, is engaged in the manufacture of ammunition and explosives for the country’s defence requirements.

The order reinforces the growing role of technology and digital infrastructure in supporting government and defence sector operations. For RailTel, such projects offer opportunities to expand its business beyond its core railway telecommunications network and strengthen its position in the government IT services market.
