Star Alliance carrier Air Canada is adding flights to the US for next summer. The airline recently added flights to Jacksonville and will now increase the frequency of one of its routes to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.
Triple the fun
Air Canada is adding a third daily flight from its Toronto hub to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG). For the upcoming winter season, the airport will see a daily Embraer E-175 service, which will continue throughout the spring.
The flights will get a boost in the summer as the airline increases frequencies and transitions the route to be operated by its fleet of aircraft. According to scheduling data from Cirium, a second daily rotation will be added on May 1st, and a third daily flight will be added the following month for the following peak departures.

Since its resumption, the route has seen substantial load factors and faces no direct competition. Speaking to the Cincinnati Business Review, Bobby Spann, CVG’s Vice President for Air Service Development, expressed excitement for the additional connection opportunities provided:
“That’s really great news. It’s really important to our corporate community.
“Toronto is a great hopping off point for Asia. A lot of our local companies do use Air Canada on the business class product to Europe.”

Based on route scheduling data, the aircraft will be configured to carry up to 76 passengers on each flight, split between 12 seats in business and 64 in economy class. Jazz Aviation is currently scheduled to operate the flights under the Air Canada Express brand.
Doubling down
This is not the only Canadian addition coming to the airport next summer. Simple Flying previously revealed Air Canada will start daily flights betweenMontréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on May 22nd, 2025.

The airline’s service to Jacksonville will be the only international flight the airport sees.
The route will be the only direct link between the two cities and be served with the CRJ 900, which includes a business class option. Speaking to the Northern Kentucky Tribune, the airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Candace McGraw, expressed her excitement for the route to begin:
“We are thrilled to add daily nonstop service to Montreal from CVG.
“Montreal is full of history and charm, and we are grateful to Air Canada for this addition as it is also an excellent way to connect travelers onward to Europe, Asia, and beyond.”
In addition to its Canadian flights, the airport has also recently celebrated one year of its route to London Heathrow, which remains the only nonstop flight to the UK in all of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Delta Air Lines serves Paris from the airport and is one of three carriers with flights from CVG to Cancun next summer.
