MUMBAI: On Thursday, 8th October 2026, AITWA Team, led by National President Shri Ashok Goyal ji, along with General Secretary Shri Abhishek Gupta ji, AITWA Action Group members from Mumbai – Shri Jitendra Parikh ji and Shri Girish Limda ji met Director General of Police Maharashtra Shri Sadanand Date ji.
The delegation met to express AITWA’s sincere gratitude for the prompt support and effective intervention by the Maharashtra Police in a recent theft matter reported last month in Malegaon, where 90% material was recovered within 48 hours by the Police authorities. We acknowledged their support and requested for similar such support for registering FIRs.
If any such unavoidable situation occurs, AITWA team shall be able to take up the matter in Maharashtra in the right manner, for quick response as per his guidance.
AITWA remains committed to working closely with the authorities for the welfare, safety and security of the transport fraternity.
