With Condor welcoming its first Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft soon, the airline’s schedule data has provided a concrete picture of where the carrier will deploy its next-generation Airbus aircraft, which includes a lot of flights to leisure destinations within Europe.

Extensive Airbus A320neo route network

The routes, which will be valid for the current International Air Transport Association (IATA) summer season and were first flagged by AeroRoutes, include 19 different destinations that Condor will serve with its A320neo, all originating at Frankfurt Airport (FRA).

According to ch-aviation data, the German airline is awaiting the delivery of 13 Airbus A320neo aircraft, which includes D-ANCZ. The aircraft has a scheduled flight between Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS) and FRA, departing at 14:10 local time (UTC +2), possibly hinting that the aircraft might be delivered on April 24, 2024, according to Flightradar24 data.

Another hint was that the airline posted on its Instagram that there was a day left until the delivery of its Airbus A320neo on April 23. However, the carrier’s post added that it will visit its facilities at Condor Technik before it is deployed into passenger service to Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) in May 2024. AeroRoutes detailed that the aircraft will start flying to PMI on May 15. The airline’s Airbus A320neo route map is depicted below, showcasing how every route the A320neo will fly will be going southward from FRA. German Carrier Condor To Debut Airbus A320neo

With its widebody renewal almost completed, Condor is now focusing on its short-haul fleet as it expects its first A320neo later this month.

Fewer Airbus A321neo routes

AeroRoutes also shared Condor’s first Airbus A321neo routes, with the airline deploying the aircraft to only eight destinations. This includes Antalya Airport (AYT), Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis (CHQ), Heraklion International Airport N. Kazantzakis (HER), Jerez Airport (XRY), Lamezia Terme International Airport (SUF), Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB), PMI, and Tenerife South Airport (TFS). The route map is shown below.

Ch-aviation data showed that the Condor’s first Airbus A321neo already has a registration, namely D-ANMZ. However, the aircraft, leased from Air Lease Corporation (ALC), has not flown yet, meaning that its delivery is further away than the A320neo.

Nevertheless, when the German airline announced that it would take delivery of 41 new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, split between 13 A320neo and 28 A321neo, with further purchase rights, it said that the first units should be delivered in Spring 2024.

At the time, Ralf Teckentrup, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Condor, said that with the replacement of its long-haul fleet with new and more efficient Airbus A330neo aircraft, it was obvious that the next step would be to modernize its short and medium-haul fleet. The new A320neo and A32neo aircraft would provide passengers with a comfortable travel experience with significantly fewer emissions, including less noise emitted while flying out of airports throughout Europe.
