The Airport Operators Association (AOA) have announced that it has adopted a new trading name, AirportsUK. There is also a new logo to accompany the change in title. This year is the organisation’s 90th anniversary; the new branding was first announced at its celebratory gala dinner in March.

Karen Dee, AirportsUK’s chief executive, commented on the name change and new logo: “We are delighted to be able unveil this new brand, which is something the whole organisation and our membership are excited to be a part of.

“It comes at a time when airports and aviation more generally are working hard to deliver sustainable growth, to reduce their impacts on communities and to be seen as the positive drivers of economic prosperity they are.

“We hope that people will see that in our new logo and name, that airports are facing the future, and contributing to all our lives in a clear, optimistic way.”

At the same time, AirportsUK is also launching a new, up-to-date website with the new logo and a more modern look, which is easier to navigate: www.airportsuk.org. This will play a key role in communicating all the work AirportsUK is undertaking on behalf of its membership and to the public, to deliver a stable, sustainable and affordable aviation sector.
