A meeting of the Welfare Board and Women’s Welfare Committee of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) was held today at the Level-III Conference Hall, Coal Bhavan. Following the meeting, a felicitation ceremony was organized to honour Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Human Resources), BCCL, who is scheduled to retire on August 31, 2026.
Representatives of the BCCL Welfare Board and Women’s Welfare Committee felicitated Ramaiah in recognition of his exemplary service, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to the organization. They praised his employee-centric approach, unwavering commitment to employee welfare, and efforts to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture across BCCL.
Speakers at the ceremony highlighted Ramaiah’s humble and compassionate personality, his dedication to employees’ interests, and his tireless commitment to strengthening the organization’s human resource framework. They noted that his leadership and sensitivity towards employees would be remembered for years to come. Members extended their heartfelt congratulations on his distinguished career and wished him good health, happiness, and success in his future endeavours.
Expressing his gratitude, Murali Krishna Ramaiah said that serving BCCL had been a matter of immense pride and a deeply enriching experience. He emphasized that the organization’s achievements were the result of collective teamwork and thanked all employees and colleagues for their continued support, cooperation, and affection throughout his tenure.
During his tenure as Director (HR), Ramaiah played a pivotal role in strengthening BCCL’s human resource management, enhancing employee welfare initiatives, promoting workplace safety, and nurturing an inclusive organizational culture. His leadership contributed significantly to creating a more employee-friendly, collaborative, and progressive work environment.
The programme was attended by several senior BCCL officials, including Kumar Manoj, General Manager (Human Resources); Arpan Ghosh, General Manager (Manpower Planning); Surendra Bhushan, Head of Department (Industrial Relations/CSR); Manish Mishra, Head of Department (Administration); and Shobha Jaitun Kujur, Head of Department (Officer Establishment), along with heads of various departments and senior officers.
Members of the BCCL Welfare Board and Women’s Welfare Committee also participated in the ceremony, including Dr. Vandana, Chairperson of the Women’s Welfare Committee and Chief Medical Officer, BCCL; Kiran Rani Nayak, Head and Coordinator, Welfare Department; Gargi Mukhopadhyay; and Madhusmita Lakra, along with other committee members, officers, and employees of the Welfare Department.
