British Airways
has added frequencies to Nashville this summer, operating up to 10 weekly flights at peak times. The carrier will deploy its Boeing 787 Dreamliners for the extra flights and has made some other key tweaks to its summer schedule.
British Airways will operate up to 10 weekly Nashville flights
As first noted by X account Enilria6, the British flag carrier is upping its schedule between London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Nashville International Airport (BNA) from seven to 10 weekly flights at peak periods next summer, adding an extra frequency on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between August 6th and September 10th.
Notably, while its regular daily service utilizes the carrier’s Boeing 777-200ER fleet, BA will use its Boeing 787-9 fleet on the extra frequencies. The extra three weekly flights will be on the following schedule:
- BA221 – Departs London at 09:25, arrives in Nashville at 12:40
- BA220 – Departs Nashville at 16:25, arrives in London at 06:40

The daily 777 flight will run on the following schedule:
- BA223 – Departs London at 16:00, arrives in Nashville at 19:15
- BA222 – Departs Nashville at 21:25, arrives in London at 11:40
British Airways is directly uncontested on this city pairing. However, Icelandair
will launch a new four-times-weekly service between Reykjavík (KEF) and Nashville from April 10th, providing its European passengers with a one-stop journey to the “Music City.” In fact, the carrier has seen such high demand for the upcoming route that it brought its launch forward by a month from its previously scheduled May 16th date.
