New Service Strengthens Multimodal Logistics Connectivity Across India
MYSURU : Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has marked a significant milestone in its logistics operations with the successful inaugural outward domestic container movement from the Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Kadakola, Mysore, Karnataka, to Shalimar, Kolkata, during the first week of June 2026.
The maiden service involved the dispatch of 80 domestic 20-foot containers, underscoring CONCOR’s commitment to expanding efficient and reliable multimodal transportation solutions across the country. The new route is expected to enhance connectivity between southern and eastern India, providing customers with a seamless and cost-effective cargo movement option.
The launch represents a major advancement in strengthening India’s logistics infrastructure and improving supply chain efficiency. By integrating rail-based transportation with multimodal logistics facilities, the service is set to facilitate faster cargo movement, optimize handling capabilities, and offer greater flexibility to businesses across diverse industries.
