WASHINGTON DC (USA): Reinforcing India’s growing role in the global logistics landscape, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) actively participated in the prestigious U.S. Forum on Indian Ocean Ports & Supply Chains held in Washington DC from June 2 to 5, 2026. The event brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, policymakers, and logistics experts from across the United States, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives to deliberate on the future of global supply chains and multimodal connectivity.

Leading the Indian delegation, CONCOR Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Sanjay Swarup, shared valuable insights on the evolving logistics ecosystem, emphasizing the importance of multimodal transportation, supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.

A key focus of the forum was the integration of advanced technologies into logistics infrastructure. Discussions centered on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), strengthening cyber resilience across supply chain networks, enabling global container track-and-trace capabilities, and accelerating the adoption of environmentally sustainable logistics solutions.

The forum provided an important platform for stakeholders to exchange perspectives on emerging challenges and opportunities in international trade and logistics. Participants explored strategies to build resilient supply chains capable of adapting to geopolitical shifts, technological disruptions, and growing sustainability expectations.

Highlighting the significance of international cooperation, Shri Swarup noted that global collaboration remains essential for developing future-ready logistics networks. As part of the engagement, Shri Swarup and fellow delegates also visited the renowned Port of Baltimore, gaining firsthand exposure to advanced port operations and best practices in cargo handling, logistics integration, and supply chain management.
