CONCOR ICD Whitefield strengthens Multimodal Logistics with Seamless Port Connectivity and Green Infrastructure
BENGALURU: In a significant boost to India’s multimodal logistics ecosystem, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has enhanced operational capabilities at its Inland Container Depot (ICD) Whitefield in Bengaluru, reinforcing seamless connectivity between key eastern and western ports while embracing sustainable logistics solutions.
Strategically positioned in the industrial hub of Bengaluru, ICD Whitefield is playing a pivotal role in connecting southern hinterlands to major ports on the East Coast, including Chennai Port, Kattupalli Port, and Kamarajar Port. With multiple daily rail services, the terminal ensures efficient cargo evacuation and streamlined export-import operations, significantly reducing transit times and logistics costs.

Further strengthening its network reach, CONCOR has introduced a dedicated bi-weekly rail service linking ICD Whitefield to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India’s premier container gateway on the West Coast. This strategic linkage enables faster cargo movement across coasts, facilitating trade fluidity and supporting the growing demands of regional industries.
In line with India’s sustainability goals, ICD Whitefield has integrated future-ready infrastructure and green technologies into its operations. The deployment of Electric Reach Stackers (EV RSTs), Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RTGs), and LNG-powered trucks underscores CONCOR’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions while enhancing operational efficiency across first-mile and last-mile connectivity.
These advancements position ICD Whitefield as a key logistics node driving innovation, reliability, and speed in cargo handling and transportation. By bridging critical port corridors and adopting environmentally responsible practices, CONCOR continues to play a crucial role in modernising India’s logistics landscape.
With a strong focus on end-to-end service excellence, CONCOR reaffirms its commitment to delivering integrated, efficient, and sustainable logistics solutions—supporting India’s vision of becoming a global trade powerhouse.
