CONCOR strengthens rail logistics infrastructure with commissioning of Line No. 7 at MMLP Dadri; flags off Double Stack Reefer Container Train to JNPA
NEW DELHI: In a significant step towards strengthening India’s multimodal logistics infrastructure and enhancing rail freight capacity, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) commissioned Dedicated Line No. 7 at its Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP), Dadri on 28 July 2026.
The new rail line was inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Swarup, Chairman & Managing Director, CONCOR, in the presence of Shri D. K. Verma, Chief Freight Transportation Manager (CFTM), North Central Railway, Shri Vijoy Kumar Singh, Director (International Marketing & Operations), CONCOR, senior officials of CONCOR, and representatives from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL).
Marking the occasion, Shri Sanjay Swarup also flagged off a Double Stack Reefer Container Train from MMLP Dadri to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) via the newly commissioned Line No. 7, along with Shri Vijoy Kumar Singh and other senior officials. The train represents another milestone in promoting efficient, temperature-controlled multimodal logistics for India’s export-import trade.
The commissioning of Dedicated Line No. 7 is expected to substantially augment the rail handling capacity of MMLP Dadri by facilitating simultaneous train operations, reducing congestion, and improving the overall turnaround time of container trains. The enhanced infrastructure will support higher freight volumes while enabling faster, more reliable, and cost-effective movement of cargo between the National Capital Region and India’s premier gateway port at JNPA.
The new line further strengthens CONCOR’s integration with the Dedicated Freight Corridor network, enabling seamless movement of double-stack container trains and reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing world-class multimodal logistics solutions. The development is expected to benefit exporters, importers, shipping lines, and the logistics industry through improved operational efficiency, enhanced capacity utilisation, and greater supply chain reliability.
