    Ghuwalewala highlighted the following
  • “It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I assume the office of President of the Domestic Air Cargo Agents Association of India (DACAAI).”

At the outset, I would like to place on record my sincere appreciation for the outstanding contribution of our Immediate Past President, Mr. Ravijeet Sehrawat. Under his leadership, the Association continued to strengthen its position as a respected voice of the domestic air cargo industry. On behalf of all members, I thank him for his dedication, commitment, and valuable service to DACAAI. I warmly welcome members of the new Managing Committee & I look forward to working closely with each one of you as we collectively strive to serve our members and the industry at large.

As we begin this new two-year term, our focus will be on a few key priorities:

1. Industry Engagement & Revival of Air Cargo Growth

Domestic air cargo has always been the fastest and most reliable mode of transportation for time-sensitive shipments. However, in recent years, the industry has faced several challenges that have impacted growth and efficiency. Our foremost objective will be to engage in constructive dialogue with all stakeholders—including airlines, regulators, airports, logistics partners, and customers—to identify ways to restore and enhance the speed, reliability, and competitiveness of air cargo transportation.

1. Training, Awareness & Capacity Building

Knowledge remains one of our strongest assets. We will organize regular training programs and awareness sessions covering both regulatory requirements, including Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance, and broader business-related topics. These initiatives will help our members and their teams remain updated, compliant, and professionally equipped to meet evolving industry requirements.

1. Ease of Doing Business

Reducing administrative burden and improving operational efficiency will remain a key focus area. One such initiative that we intend to pursue is the implementation of a consolidated fortnightly TSP invoicing mechanism, which can significantly simplify accounting and reconciliation processes for our members.

1. Strengthening Regional Committees

The true strength of DACAAI lies in its members across the country. We will work towards empowering our regional committees and encouraging greater participation at the local level so that regional concerns receive timely attention and solutions.

Friends, We are also entering a period that may prove challenging for our industry. Recent announcements by airlines regarding network curtailments, driven largely by the sharp increase in fuel costs and operational pressures, may have a direct impact on capacity, connectivity, and service levels. While these developments may create short-term difficulties, I am confident that with proactive engagement and collective effort, we can navigate these challenges effectively.

I seek the support, guidance, and active participation of every member. Together, let us work towards building a stronger, more efficient, and more resilient domestic air cargo ecosystem.

I once again thank you for the trust you have placed in me. I look forward to serving the Association to the best of my abilities and working alongside all of you for the progress of our industry.

Thank you.
Jai Hind.
