Delta Air Lines
has opened its new Delta One Lounge at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). The facility is the airline’s third Delta One Lounge—joining lounges in New York and Los Angeles opened earlier this year—and it plans to unveil another one in Seattle early next year.

Delta One Lounge in Boston is now open

The sleek 6,700 sq ft facility officially opened its doors today (December 12th). The lounge-within-a-lounge can be accessed through the Delta Sky Club, located in Boston’s Concourse E near Gate 13 – with a menu developed by famous chef Ed Brown, Boston’s Delta One Lounge will primarily focus on delivering a high-end culinary experience, but guests will still have access to the other facilities available in the Delta Sky Club.

The carrier says guests can expect a “one-of-a-kind culinary experience” that draws upon Boston’s rich seafaring heritage. The menu features seafood favorites like warm Maine lobster roll, octopus carpaccio and cod Milanese, as well as classic Boston chowder and plenty of non-seafood options too. This will be on top of an extensive drinks menu featuring wines, spirits, beers and cocktails.

The interior is also inspired by Boston’s maritime history, featuring a custom-designed sail ceiling and ship-like bar design, along with other subtle nautical touches, including a blue and bronze-accented color scheme. The color palette also nods to Boston’s academic history, with the city and surrounding region home to the likes of Harvard University and MIT.

What to expect inside

Alongside its culinary offerings, the lounge offers Wellness and Relaxation areas (shared with Delta Sky Club) featuring a shower suite and Grown Alchemist personal care products. At 6,700 sq ft, it is only a fraction of the size of the 40,000 sq ft Delta One Lounge at New York JFK (JFK), while the other lounge at Los Angeles (LAX) measures around 10,000 sq ft.

Be advised that the lounge has fairly limited opening hours between 14:00 and 21:00, while Boston’s Delta Sky Lounge is open from 05:00 until 01:00. Access is reserved for:

  • Delta One customers
  • Equivalent cabin class with partner airlines
  • Delta 360 members traveling on a first class ticket

To clarify, eligible passenger classes with partner airlines include Air France La Premiere and Business Class (Long-Haul); LATAM Premium Business Class; KLM Business Class; Korean Air First Class and Prestige Class; and Virgin Atlantic Upper Class.

Paid access to the lounge is only possible for Delta 360 members in Delta One or Delta First Class, who are permitted to bring their immediate family (spouse/domestic partner and children under the age of 21), or up to 2 companion guests, at a surcharge of $100 (or 10,000 miles) per person. Claude Roussel, Vice President of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, commented,

“No two Delta One Lounges are alike – with each new space, we strive to create something truly special and distinct to the host city, while never compromising on service or quality. This lounge is designed to deliver the elevated, VIP experience guests want — an experience that draws inspiration from the history and culinary traditions of Boston.”

Despite marketing itself as the country’s most premium airline, Delta’s premium lounge game hasn’t been up to the level of rivals American Airlines – which has its Flagship Lounges – and United Airlines’ Polaris Lounges. However, with the launch of two Delta One Lounges in New York and Los Angeles this year, the carrier is catching up fast.

The airline continues to upgrade the experience for its passengers in Los Angeles.

The first Delta One Lounge at JFK opened its doors in June, followed by the LAX facility in October, and both have earned widespread praise. The carrier won’t stop with three Delta One Lounges either- it plans to open another facility at Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) in early 2025 and has a fifth lounge in the works at Salt Lake City (SLC).
