Dream Project Of UP CM Yogi Adityanath – Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University In Aligarh Lies in Tatters – Indian PSU

Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, the dream project of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Despite several reprimands by the authorities and extension of six extended deadlines, the project is still incomplete and lies in tatters.

The foundation stone of the university was laid on September 14, 2021, in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel, and Hon’ble UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

The project contract was awarded to M/s Ishwar Singh & Associates Construction Private Limited, at an approved cost of Rs 101.41 crore.

www.indianpsu.com is in possession of pictures of the incomplete structure and sent three emails to the top management of M/s Ishwar Singh & Associates Construction Private Limited, incorporated on 17 April 2012 by Registar of Companies (RoC) Delhi and its registered address is 100-104, Nand Vihar Azad Nagar, Hisar District of Haryana.

There have been a spate of protests by students protesting against non-completion of the university complex and lack of amenities, at the office of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. But authorities seem to be unmoved probably due to the apparent political clout of M/s Ishwar Singh & Associates Construction Private Limited. It is quite evident that even after the shoddy and delayed construction, someone at the helm of affairs in the Uttar Pradesh is giving a protective shield to the company due to reasons better known to this person alone.

But even after passage of six extensions of deadlines given by the state government for completion of the project, the contractor – M/s Ishwar Singh & Associates Construction Private Limited, seems to be in deep slumber. The last deadline given, that of June 15, 2024, has also passed but work is still to pick up pace, leave its completion.

While on one hand, with the opening of Raja Mahendra Pratap University in Aligarh, 408 colleges of Aligarh division will be affiliated, on the other hand, due to the work not being completed, students are also desperate to get admission in the campus of Raja Mahendra Pratap University. The fate of affiliated colleges including 148 colleges from Aligarh, 131 from Etah, 91 from Hathras and 38 colleges from Kasganj, continues to be in limbo.

Given below is the model structure of the university which was approved by the government of Uttar Pradesh –

www.indianpsu.com sent three emails to the top management of M/s Ishwar Singh & Associates Construction Private Limited, on August 23, 2024, August 24, 2024 and again on August 28, 2024, but the company failed to respond to any of these.

Emails sent to Principal Secretary, Higher Education – Uttar Pradesh, Professor Chandrashekhar – Vice-Chancellor of Raja Mahendra Pratap University and to Ajay Krishna Yadav – Registrar of Raja Mahendra Pratap University, asking about the inordinate delay of the construction of the university campus, were also not replied to.
