easyJet is the official airline of the Eurovision Song Contest
As the Official Airline Partner of the Eurovision Song Contest, easyJet held a sky high talent show (complete with sequins and sing-alongs) for superfans flying from London Gatwick to Copenhagen. The airline arranged for Drag Race star Tia Kofi to be onboard as host for the lively flight.
Superfan and Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision (OAGE) member Catherine Donald said,
“The flight easyJet laid on for us today was the ultimate treat for any Eurovision fan who loves to celebrate, the glitz, glamour and unity of Eurovision. I can’t believe what an amazing experience it’s been so far, and we haven’t even left the airport yet.”

EasyJet will fly 40,000 European visitors to Copenhagen Airport for this year’s contest. The airport offers convenient direct rail access from the terminal’s train station to the host city of Malmö, Sweden, in about 15 minutes.

Fans from the UK have bought one-fifth of all tickets for the Eurovision Live final events, boosted by the popularity of last year’s Eurovision contest in Liverpool.

Countries vie to host a Eurovision contest (by having the winning contestant) because it inspires tourists year-round, not just for the event. The easyJet survey found that British Eurovision fans were most interested in visiting Italy (18%), Greece (16%), and Spain (16%), and 27% said that Eurovision made them think about traveling to explore another country.

Compared to last year, the airline has added over 10% more seats to and from Copenhagen to meet Eurovision flight demand.

SAS Adds Sparkles With Unique AI-Welcome Campaign
Scandinavia’s flagship airline, SAS, would not be caught short with this year’s Eurovision Song Contest on its doorstep. The airline partnered with award-winning Swedish AI artist Stephanie Löwenstein to design a unique AI-generated campaign for Eurovision fans.
Along with custom images, the message “We bring Europe to Malmö” will appear at major airports throughout Scandinavia, outdoor displays in Copenhagen and Malmö, and on the airline’s online channels.

SAS offers over 1,800 flights to Malmö and Copenhagen.
