Warehouse robotics company Exotec has deployed its Skypod fulfillment system at a recently upgraded logistics center for French workplace products and services company Lyreco. The modernized facility is located in Villaines-la-Juhel, Mayenne, France, and is responsible for roughly 60% of the 50,000 parcels shipped daily by Lyreco in France, according to both companies.
The nearly $30 million modernization project features an Exotec robotics solution that optimizes large-scale pallet preparation and order dispatch, enabling Lyreco to improve operational performance.
The solution includes:
- An automated system for sequencing outbound flows;
- Advanced algorithms for sorting and pallet building;
- More than 100 Skypod robots managing the buffering and organization of parcels prior to dispatch;
- Ergonomic palletization stations for operator friendly pallet preparation.
Exotec’s Skypod system is on display at MODEX 2026, taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, April 13-16.
