FOPO Demands Protection for Oil PSU Officers After Second Fatal Attack in Seven Months – Indian PSU

The Federation of Oil PSU Officers (FOPO) has urged the Union Petroleum Ministry to implement urgent safety measures for oil sector officers following the killing of IndianOil Manager Mahesh Shelke in Maharashtra on October 6, 2026. Highlighting the second deadly attack on oil sector officers in seven months, FOPO has called for stronger police protection during field operations, time-bound investigations, fast-track trials and comprehensive support for bereaved families.
