Hardeep Singh Puri Reviews Halwara Airport Terminal, Assesses Air Connectivity Plans for Punjab – Indian PSU

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday reviewed the newly developed terminal building at Halwara Airport and held discussions with senior officials regarding strengthening air connectivity for Ludhiana and the state of Punjab.
During his visit to Halwara Airport, the minister inspected the infrastructure and reviewed preparations aimed at enhancing aviation services in the region. Officials briefed him on the airport’s operational readiness and future connectivity plans that are expected to boost economic growth, business opportunities, and passenger convenience across Punjab.
Emphasizing environmental sustainability, Puri also planted an Ashoka sapling in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide campaign, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, which encourages citizens to plant trees in honor of their mothers and contribute to environmental conservation.

The Union Minister received a warm welcome from party workers and supporters upon his arrival in Ludhiana. Local leaders and officials accompanied him during the airport inspection and plantation drive.
The visit comes as the government continues to focus on expanding regional air connectivity and strengthening aviation infrastructure under its broader vision of enhancing connectivity and economic development across the country.
