HAROPA: HAROPA PORT and Business France are strengthening their cooperation to attract new international investors to the Seine corridor by signing a three-year partnership agreement. The objective is to promote the industrial, logistical, and land advantages of France’s leading port to encourage the establishment of new industrial and logistics projects, support reindustrialization, and enhance the economic appeal of France’s primary logistics corridor.

The Seine corridor has a new asset to strengthen its international reach. HAROPA PORT and Business France have signed a three-year partnership agreement aimed at raising awareness of the port, industrial and logistics offerings of the Seine corridor among foreign investors and encouraging the establishment of new projects.

With nearly 1,000 hectares of available land, spread across the entire Seine axis, the port has significant potential to accommodate new activities.

Attracting new industrial and logistics projects
This cooperation aims primarily to identify and support international projects that could be established on the HAROPA PORT sites.

The two partners will pay particular attention to major related industrial projects :

  • to the energy and ecological transition;
  • to the circular economy;
  • to the mechanical industries;
  • to the agri-food industry;
  • to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals;
  • to logistics and e-commerce.

Business France will thus be able to make international investors aware of the investment opportunities offered by HAROPA PORT and helpto connect project promoters with the relevant local stakeholders.

The objective is twofold: to facilitate the arrival of new investments in France and to offer international companies solutions for setting up operations that are connected to major European markets.

A strengthened international strike force
To increase the visibility of the Seine axis abroad, HAROPA PORT and Business France will be able to rely on the complementarity of their international networks.

Joint promotional and prospecting activities will be organized in different countries and in targeted markets. HAROPA PORT will also participate in international events organized by Business France: B2B meetings, official missions abroad, and major economic and sector-specific events.

Business France teams abroad will also be made aware of the specificities of the port and logistics ecosystem of the Seine axis, in particular through information tools and visits to HAROPA PORT sites.

Making the Seine axis a strategic corridor for industry and logistics
Beyond the development of new projects, the partnership should contribute to strengthening the position of the Seine axis in international logistics chains.

HAROPA PORT aims to develop new import flows and encourage the relocation of logistics chains to the west of Paris. Thanks to its maritime, river, rail, and road connections, the Seine axis provides a strategic gateway to French and European markets.
