India’s Maharatna Power major “POWERGRID”performs exceptionally well : PAT crosses Rs. 15520 crore during FY 2024-25

PowerGrid, the Maharatna Power Transmission major of the government of India, Ministry of Power has shown excellent results for FY25 by posting a net profit of 15521 crore and generating Rs 47459 cr in aggregate revenues.

The Board of Directors declared final dividend of Rs 1.25 per equity share totalling to an yearly dividend of Rs 9 per share, for its shareholders.

POWERGRID has Earned profit after tax amounting to Rs 4,336 crore and Income of ₹ 12,482 crore during Q 4 registering a YoY growth of 5% and 2% respectively.

On consolidated basis company has reported PAT of ₹ 4,143 crore and Total Income of ₹12,591 crore.
For FY25, on standalone basis, company posted PAT (including discontinued operations) and Total Income of ₹ 15,354 crore and ₹ 46,325 crore respectively.

On consolidated basis, company posted PAT and Total Income of ₹ 15,521 crore and ₹ 47,459 Crore respectively.

The Company has proposed a final dividend of @12.50% of paid up share capital i.e. Rs 1.25 per share on a face value of ₹ 10/- each (12.50% of the paid-up share capital) which is in addition to interim dividend of ₹ 7.75/- per share making total yearly dividend of Rs 9 per share.

The Capex for FY 2024-25 stood @ Rs 26,255 crore; capitalized assets (excluding FERV) stood at Rs 9,014 crore on a consolidated basis.

As on 31 March 2025 POWERGRID’s Gross Fixed Assets on consolidated basis (including lease receivable) stood at Rs 2,90,715
crore.

The total transmission assets of POWERGRID and its subsidiaries stood at 1,80,195 ckm of transmission lines, 282 substations and 5,51,961 MVA of transforation capacity, at the end of FY25.

Notable among many enviable milestones, PGCIL Team leadership has achieved highest ever market
capitalization of 3.4 trillion rupees as of September 2024 . This shows management excellence on one hand and strong investor confidence for POWERGRID on the other.
