The winning bid of $40,000 contributed to the auction’s total proceeds of $2.15 million, which will go toward funding higher-education programs that prepare students for careers in the concrete industry.

The donation included a $1,500 scholarship, which was awarded to high school senior Samantha Iller in recognition of her work rebuilding homes with Adventures in Appalachia.
Ducommun Inc., a global supplier of engineered products and niche manufacturing services for the aerospace and defense industry, and its wholly owned charitable organization, The Ducommun Foundation, have donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank to assist and support evacuees, their families, and first responders impacted by the wildfires.
