NTPC Vindhyachal Sensitizes Workforce on New Labour Codes – Indian PSU

NTPC Vindhyachal organized a comprehensive awareness session on the New Labour Codes on May 16, 2026, aiming to enhance statutory awareness and foster progressive industrial relations practices among its workforce, including employees, contract workers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

The session was conducted by Rajendra Singh Rajput, Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central), Shahdol, who provided detailed insights into all four Labour Codes and highlighted the enhanced provisions and benefits introduced, particularly for contract workers.

The programme was held in two phases. The first session, conducted at Shahnai Hall, was specifically designed for contract workers and contractors. This was followed by an interactive session for SMC members and senior leadership at the Administrative Building.

The event was graced by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Head of Project (Vindhyachal), along with senior officials including A.J. Rajkumar, GM (O&M); M. Suresh, GM (Maintenance & ADM); S.K. Sinha, GM (Operation & FM); Dr. B.K. Bharali, GM (Medical Services); and Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR (Vindhyachal).

The interactive discussions enabled participants to gain clarity on various provisions of the Labour Codes, with queries effectively addressed by the Assistant Labour Commissioner.

Seamlessly coordinated by the Industrial Relations (IR) Section, the initiative underscores NTPC Vindhyachal’s continued commitment to transparency, employee welfare, and the promotion of harmonious industrial relations.
