Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has confirmed that a minor fire incident occurred on Thursday morning at one of its installations in the Kalol Field. The fire was swiftly brought under control by ONGC’s Fire and Emergency Response teams, with no injuries or casualties reported.

According to the company, the emergency response mechanism was activated immediately after the incident, enabling the fire to be extinguished promptly. The situation is now fully under control, and normal production operations have been completely restored.

ONGC stated that there was no harm to any personnel and that all safety protocols were effectively implemented during the incident.

Reaffirming its commitment to operational safety, ONGC said it places the highest priority on the safety of its employees, assets, and neighbouring communities. The company also emphasized that it continues to maintain robust safety standards and emergency-response preparedness across all its operational locations.

The prompt response ensured minimal disruption to operations, and the installation has resumed normal functioning.
