POWERGRID Organises Swachhata Drive and Awareness activities during Swachhata Pakhwada

Gurugram, 31 May 2026: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, is observing Swachhata Pakhwada in its offices spread across the country to maintain a clean and healthy environment. The campaign reflects POWERGRID’s continued commitment towards the vision of a cleaner, healthier, and greener nation.

As part of the observance, POWERGRID employees took the Swachhata Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining cleanliness in their workplaces, communities, and daily lives. A Swachhata cleanliness drive was also conducted around office premises and vicinity, to maintain a clean and healthy environment. The drive was undertaken in presence of Sh. Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, CMD, Sh. G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance), Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Sh. Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), and senior officials at Corporate Centre, Gurugram. Nukkad Natak was also organised to raise public awareness about cleanliness.

As on 30 May 2026, POWERGRID operates 291 substations, more than 185,102 circuit km of transmission lines and 628,516 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of advanced technologies and the effective utilization of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has consistently maintained an average transmission system availability of over 99.78%.
