RINL Clinches Steel Plants Sports Board Inter-Steel Plants Badminton Championship 2024-25 – Indian PSU
The RINL Badminton Team emerged victorious in the Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB) Inter-Steel Plants Badminton Championship 2024-25, by defeating Bokaro Steel Plant in the finals played at Durgapur Steel Plant on 05.03.2025.
Inter Steel Plants Badminton Championship 2024-25 was organized by the Durgapur Steel Plant at Durgapur from 3rd to 5th March 2025 in which teams from 9 Steel Plants viz RINL-Visakhapatnam, DSP-Durgapur, BSP-Bhilai, VISL-Bhadravathi, BSL-Bokaro, SSP-Salem, RSP- Rourkela, ASP-Durgapur, ISP-Burnpur participated.
P. Murugeshan, Executive Director (Project), Durgapur Steel Plant presented the Gold Medal and Winner Trophy to RINL Team.
A.K. Saxena, CMD (Additional Charge), RINL congratulated the RINL team and sports officials for bringing laurels to RINL at the National level and described this victory as a testament to RINL’s commitment to excellence in sports.
RINL Badminton team consisted of: Ch Sanyasi Rao, General Foreman/ES&F Department, G. Hemavaarun, Manager, Utilities Department, K. Kiran Kumar, Deputy Manager, EMD Department, Ch Santosh Dora, Chargeman /SMS-2 Department.
K.M. Lakshminaidu, Senior Technician, TPP Department, RINL as Coach and Appalaraju Indala, Senior Technician, STM Department, RINL as the Manager extended significant support to RINL Badminton team.
RINL team won the SPSB Badminton Championship during 2023-24 too.
