With the expansion of facilities at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham during the Yogi government, there has been a record increase in donations and the number of pilgrims visiting the Vishwanath Dham. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham’s income has increased fourfold from the financial year 2017-18 to 2023-24. During the Corona period, there was a slight decrease in the number of devotees, but an unprecedented increase was recorded after that.

The expansion and modernisation of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham have made it more accessible, attracting a growing number of Shiva devotees worldwide day by day. Following the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the income also saw significant growth.

Number of devotees reached 16.22 cr

After the transformation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, numerous facilities have been added under the continuous inspection and guidance of CM Yogi. The expansion of the temple and the ease of darshan have further boosted tourism in Kashi.

The CEO of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that the income of Kashi Vishwanath Dham from offerings, donations, tickets, and revenue from newly constructed buildings on the premises has increased fourfold in the last seven years. Since the inauguration of the Vishwanath Corridor on December 13, 2021, the number of devotees visiting the temple reached 16.22 crores by May 2024.

The holy and spiritual city of Kashi has been a pilgrimage site for followers of Sanatan Dharma since time immemorial. Under the double-engine government, Kashi now offers world-class facilities. It has become easier to reach this city from every corner of the globe, increasing the influx of devotees.
