Swachhta Pakhwada Launched At Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited – Indian PSU

At a program held today at the main conference hall of Administration building of Visakhapatnam Steel plant, Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL along with Dr. Sanjay Roy, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Government of India launched the 15 day long “Swachhta Pakhwada”.

As per the directive received from the Cabinet secretary, Government of India, to organize “Swachhta Pakhawada” in the Ministry of Steel and its CPSUs /institutions /organizations during the period from 16th to 31st March 2024, RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam steel plant will be observing Swacchta Pakhwada at Visakhapatnam steel plant and all its marketing, liaison and marketing offices spread across the country from 16th to 31st March 2024.

Shri DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial),Shri AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) & Addl. Charge Director (Operations),Shri S C Pandey, Director (Personnel) & Addl. Charge Director (Finance), Dr. S.Karuna Raju, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer, RINL and senior officials took Swachhta Pledge on the occasion, today.

Shri Atul Bhatt CMD, RINL along with Dr. Sanjay Roy, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Government of India released the planned activities as part of the swachhta pakhwada at RINL in the august presence of Directors and CVO, RINL.

As part of the Swachhta Pakhwada, several activities will be taken by all the offices of Visakhapatnam steel plant like “Swachh Jagrukta Abhiyan”,(Awareness on ‘Hygiene & Sanitation’ & ‘Plastic Waste Management’ through Intranet Portal, Telephonic Ringtone and Shop floor trainings),“Parivartan ”(Menstrual Health Awareness programme for Girl students of Schools),“Swachhta se Swasth”(Awareness on ‘Swachhata’ in prevention of disease transmissions in the wake of post Covid-19 pandemic situation),”Bala Swachhta Jagruti”, (Awareness to School children on ‘Personal Hygiene’ and ‘Curbing of Single Use Plastic’), “Shram Daan”,(Cleaning campaigns in the Plant & Local Communities with a special focus on ‘Hygiene & Sanitation’ & ‘Plastic Waste Management’), “Steel Safety Day”, (Organizing various Awareness Programmes and Safety campaigns by Safety Engineering Dept.), “Save Environment from Single Use Plastic”,(Awareness campaigns on Plastic Free Environment in Township and Collection & Disposal of ‘Plastic Waste’ from public places).
