Scoot, the low-cost carrier arm of Singapore Airlines, has celebrated the launch of services with the Embraer E190-E2 at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), introducing the type on flights to Krabi Airport (KBV), Thailand.
Connectivity to non-metro destinations
According to Leslie Thng, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Scoot, the introduction of the E190-E2 would not have been possible without the support of its partners and the commitment of its employees, ensuring a successful entry into service of the type.
“The E190-E2, with its modern operating capabilities and fuel-efficient credentials, was a natural choice as we looked to grow Scoot’s fleet.”
Thng added that the airline was confident with the new-generation aircraft, which will continue strengthening Scoot’s presence in the region and enhance connectivity to non-metro destinations. The aircraft’s first destination from SIN was KBV, serving the city and province of Krabi, Thailand.
